Sven is a German Patent Attorney, as well as European Patent Attorney with technical expertise in the areas of chemistry, in particular, organic, inorganic and polymer chemistry.
Sven has knowledge on oppositions, freedom-to-operate and due diligence analyses and infringement actions. Furthermore, he has several years of experience in representing clients in oral proceedings before the Opposition Division and the Boards of Appeal at the European Patent Office. Sven can represent clients before the German Patent Court, German Supreme Court in nullity actions and in cooperation with an attorney-at-law as patent attorney in litigation cases before the German Civil Court.
Sven has studied chemistry at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg and has received his Ph.D. in the field of organo-metallic chemistry.
Prior to joining Savic Patentanwälte, he has worked in a major German patent law firm .
Sven is fluent in German and English.
He ist Member of the German patent lawyer´s association (PAK), Member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi), Member of the International Federation of Industrial Property Attorneys (FICPI) and Member of the Association of Intellectual Property Experts (VPP).
